Low-price restaurant recommendations

Ideal for me would be a little jammy. Expectation would be runny yolk. It was actually cooked entirely through. I found it a bit of a struggle to finish. A little work on execution would make this a place I would frequent.

I love this place! The employees are so nice, too. Always look forward to going here. Slide 1 of 3. Mexican restaurant. This local chain serves Mexican-street-food-style tacos in inventive varieties, including for breakfast. It's popular with Houstonians and has locations all over the city.

I loved this place! The cashier showed us some secret menu items so we ended up trying like 8 different tacos! The gm was talking to us and I didn't even know they had one up in Indy! Nice restaurant, good food, and the staff was great.

Plus they were highly recommended by family and friends. We ordered, trailer park extra trashy, fiesta steak and a democrat taco.

Trailer park was ok at best. The way people were recommending it left and right was nowhere to be found. The rest of the two were good enough to make the entire experience worthwhile. They were mind boggingly delicious. Regardless of the underperforming food as a whole, I give it 4 stars because of the service.

The lady was nice enough to give us free tacos for next time. Queso dip was awesome so was the moFaux tacos. Loved both. Would be great if they had some sort of loaded Nachos too. Friendly service. The location was perfect for my event today.

The cashier was amazing. But I order this extra trashy and I don't even see regular trash on this order. The republican was very good and tasty. I've long heard of the Torchys brand and was so happy to go by and try whilst we were down here in Texas and loved it.

This particular store said they had just re-opened like 3 hrs before we got there so there were some hiccups expected but in the end, we got everything we wanted and more. Loved having so many taco options and the special queso dip was just as good as the woman at the counter recommended.

They were very friendly and helpful for us first-timers. Also, not for nothing, good sweet tea too. Staff is polite and work fast. Very unique flavors. I love the Democrat and Trailer Park. Get it with chorizo added, my gosh so good. All shown in pictures.

My only gripe would be the parking. I followed other cars going there. I enjoy the Republican and Trailer Park Trashy. Also, get the chips and quest dip with chorizo, very tasty. We had brunch. Good service. Great food. Highly recommend. Not crowded. It was awesome! Our first time there and the girl at the register was happy to help us through the menu!

We loved it so much we found another Torchys to visit in our home state to get more of it! Hey If you are reading this and looking to have some tacos 🌮..! I think you should guess no further about this place, this incredible place was told to me by a friend and relative I thought we should just try it as mentioned without fail by my friend.

This is the best taco ever so juicy and stuffy I have ever had in a taco place in Houston. The best ever bite of every flavour filled with richness of meat and spices you will ever have in every single bite here.

I really recommend people to go here for for their tacos, to be honest we are coming back again from NY to be your guest. No wonder why you have so much wait time all the time at your restaurants. The servers are really nice and helpful for you to order.

Love this place to the most for Tacos. Forgot to take many pics as was indulging in this flavour after ordering. Place was amazing! The food was so good and they came out so quick and fresh.

Highly recommend the the street corn. So many options to choose from. Girl sitting behind register was sad, down and was not motivated to even have a job. No replies from her on anything commented to her. One Burrito took 27 minutes because apparently The Food apps service take priority and the inside customer is not important.

Nice place nice pictures but my reviews are only and square. Ambience was amazing, cuisine was distinct from other Mexican eateries and tasted great, street corn was interesting and delicious, recommended spot for Mexican food. Need a place to stay?

Where City name. Rooms, guests. Rooms and guests. Search for hotels. Sushi restaurant. Oishii is a Japanese restaurant in Houston that specializes in sushi. The food is simple and the atmosphere relaxed, making it a popular spot for people looking for good Japanese food without all the fuss.

There are several Yakitori and Tempura options as well as Sushi rolls at affordable prices. A friend of mine introduced me to this place and I am glad she did. The place is small with limited seating so the wait is about an hour a and this was on a Tuesday. However there Happy Hour menu is insanely good, buy one get one so it's totally worth it.

The place feels warm and comfortable. The server was on it and got our order fast. When the food came everything was right and delicious!

The food had tons of flavor and it was fresh. Definitely coming back. Great food for an affordable price. Had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table as the restaurant gets very busy.

Service could have been better. Definitely recommend this place for Sushi. It was the best item we tried. Went there with friends during happy hour 3 - 7 pm on a Tuesday.

When we went there we had to wait for minutes for a table. During happy hour, appetizers are buy one get one free. We also ordered Fried Sumo Maki. For our main course, we ordered Chicken Katsu, Shrimp Teriyaki and Beef Negimaki. To be frank the food was really great and the food presentation made the food more appealing.

The parking is a bit tricky. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is always filled. But there is an extra parking lot on the left side of the restaurant which is Oishii's own parking lot.

Park there only. Overall, a great experience with excellent food and friendly service. Highly recommend! I am definitely going back again! Restaurants offering amazing good and not very expensive are my favorites end Oishii is one amongst them. The menu is elaborate and you have options to select from.

I recommend a reservation during busy hours as they have indoor seating only. We tried their Lychee sake.

On the sushi part, there was so much to select from, the servers help you. The quantity is good. Definitely recommend this place for a chill Japanese cuisine. Probably the best priced sushi to quality ratio in the greater Houston area. Parking is a headache sometimes, and there can be long waits for a table depending on when you go.

The lunch special and happy hour are amazing deals. You can get a quality full meal dining out for 10 bucks which is impossible to find nowadays. Good value, yes, but the lack of a reservation system, the long wait, and the dirty interior put us off on the whole experience.

The cuts of fish and the size of the maki roll pieces were almost too big as well. We love to come here during happy hour. Sushi is fresh and at a good price. We enjoyed the iced green tea, eel roll, spicy salmon and spicy tuna roll.

Definitely one of my favorite sushi places in Houston. Parking is my only issue with this place as it is very limited and you have to be careful while backing out of the parking lot. We honestly only go to Oishii now for sushi but every now and then we will go to another sushi spot and can now taste the quality difference, Oishii is top notch.

the owner even remembers us. The whole crew is extremely friendly and personable. The lunch special with an added California roll is a ton of sushi for an incredibly low price. The quality is outstanding, too.

The lunch rush packed the small building, so I assumed the service would be pretty bad, but I was wrong. The staff are helpful, thoughtful, and clearly capable of handling more people than I am, even as a customer.

Really enjoyed my takeout lunch from there today and plan to return frequently. My brother has long recommended this location and I'm disappointed I didn't visit it sooner, the place is very tiny and really packed.

The service is excellent and they are fast. Now the best part damn that sushi was bomb! Loved it will definitely come back. yes it's small.. and yes, you may have to wait in line but it's worth the wait happy hour is the best in town.. Who does that? Oishi does! Visit : June Had a piece of waygu A5, it was very good, flavorful, juicy, but did cost quite a bit.

It was worth the experience. Got the salmon bento box. The salmon was cooked really well, but the sauce for it was a bit slimy which felt off-putting.

Sadly, the sushi rolls that came with the bento box wasn't of the best quality, as the was a lot of rice and not much filling. Besides that, everything else was pretty standard for the bento and the miso soup.

The Wasabi Tako was pretty good, there was a fair amount for the price and a really strong Wasabi flavor. My friends got assorted sushi which I definitely felt like I should have got over the salmon bento. I also hear that this place always has a long lineup, we were lucky there wasn't one at the time we went, but it was forming as we left.

Oishii is a solid Houston staple for Japanese fare at a great price. Their entrees come with large portion sizes.

Note: Oishii is extremely popular and the wait times can be long minutes. Absolutely fantastic! Sushi was delicious, service was great think I had my drink refilled like four times, and prices in are unbeatable.

My favorite place for Sushi in Houston so far and would highly recommend trying. Great affordable sushi restaurant that offers a diner feel. We came just before happy hour ended and took advantage of it.

The deal was buy one get one for free for some appetizers. We ordered egg rolls, fried squid, and salmon roll and tuna roll. The rolls from appetizer section was not our favorite. But oiishi rolls were delicious, the hand roll was also fantastic.

Also enjoyed their potato croquette immensely! The Joseph roll was lacking flavors though. Unbeatable price for the food we got! Good service and we enjoyed the bustling diner vibe. Mentioned on 5 lists. Cuban restaurant.

Fast food restaurant. El Rey Taqueria is a Mexican restaurant that stays open late into the night and offers delicious food options such as torta sandwiches and tacos al pastor. The restaurant is also open on Monday through Thursday until 3 am, and on Friday and Saturday until 12 am.

A friend suggested this Mexican-Cuban taqueria and I couldn't have been more pleased with it! I went with one typical pastor, which was definitely a good quality, and then two of the Cuban tacos which were simply delicious with the beef, beans, and a nice twist of sweet plantains on top!

I also tried the melon juice and could tell it was very fresh and didn't have too much added sugar. I will definitely be coming back here! I am obsessed with their chicken tortilla soup! Hands down the best I have had anywhere. It has the perfect amount of spice, broth, and delicious rotisserie chicken.

I generally get mine via Uber Eats and they package the tortilla strips, cheese and avocado separately. I also order extra chicken to give me extra protein, so it's loaded with chicken.

This is the perfect soup for a cold day or if you are feeling under the weather. I will start trying other things here but for now, this soup is everything!

Professional, and friendly staff. They are clean and handle your food with care by taking extra measures to wrap and seal it properly. I ordered delivery recently and was more than satisfied. I had all condiments and my precise directions were followed.

Thank you for always being on point, delivering great service, and taking safety measures with the handling of the food. Great JOB 👍. absolutely love this location! the workers are always nice and the food always comes out hot and fresh.

the food is absolutely delicious — my favorite taco is always the plantain taco and salmon. i find myself craving these tacos at night all the time! they have also great vegetarian options too.

one of my favorite spots and i heavily recommend! OK down to earth place for Cuban and Mexican favorites. The Café Cubano y el Cortadito tasted weird on this visit. Not bad, just different. May be the type of coffee they used. The ropa vieja was good and so were the fried pork chunks and the rotisserie chicken.

Black beans were OK. Big serving of fried plantains with each plate and that's really good. Stopped by here on my way out of Houston after a concert. The breakfast burrito I grabbed was delicious, but for some reason they cut a to-go burrito in half. Not sure why. The food is fresh, but not flavorful.

Not really sure what I ate. The food seemingly used fresh ingredients, but everything just tasted so bland. Even the sauce was bland. The breakfast tacos at El Rey were excellent. They have a large variety of breakfast tacos as well as other lunch and dinner options all at a reasonable price.

The thing I most noticed about the tacos were that they felt very fresh. I will definitely be coming back here to try more items on the menu. The food is consistently delicious. And this may be a bold statement but I think they have the best shrimp tacos in houston.

The plantains are always perfect. Do yourself a favor and do not order the ropa vieja torta. I called after eating half of my torta and noticing little meat it had. All for the staff to tell be the torta is supposed to have 4 ounces of shredded beef.

A dissatisfaction and disappointment of how this was handled. Staff told me it was because I asked for the slaw on the side that my torta looked like that compared to the fajita torta my friend ordered.

The staff is super friendly! really clean and quaint. The Cuban style shredded beef is delicious! But the plantains are a must try. Super glad I got to try them out and really recommend you do too! I ordered three tacos at the drive through.

Cuban with beef. AL pastor. Rope Veja. I got home to eat and all 3 tacos had been stuffed with random stuff. Instead of a Cuban with beer, I got rope veja meat tossed on black beans and drenched in sour cream.

The other two taste rancid. Everything is freezing cold. Thus is inexcusable, and I'm never giving the company another dime. Pizza restaurant. Frank's Pizza is a no-frills, late night pizza parlor in Downtown Houston that crowds regularly for its delicious slices of New York-style thin crust pizza.

Frank's also has a two-level open air bar next door that makes it the perfect spot for drinks and socializing after a long day of work or to celebrate a night out.

The pizza is always fresh and cooked to perfection, and is even better with the addition of Frank's backyard next door. Best pizza in Houston!

I love their pizza! OMG it I so Good!!! Only downside that they are in downtown but the price is so good for the quality of pizza you get!!! Yum yum and yum! If you are a pizza lover you must go try it out! Frank's Pizza will forever be home in my heart! I've been coming to Frank's for over a decade.

Every celebration in my family involved coming downtown to explore, appreciate the city, and ALWAYS having a slice of Frank's Pizza. It's funny how this little hole in the wall changes an entire block, everyone exiting the restaurant walks out with the biggest smile on their face, and in a much better mood than when they walked in.

I love bringing friends and family visiting Houston to Frank's Pizza, it is a STAPLE in my book. Just take my biased love, and affection for this pizza restaurant, and a gander at the photos I took.

The photos speak for themselves. Thank you for making it all the way through my rant. Best American style pizza in town! The place is classic and located in the middle of downtown, just a block away from Main St and the Houston wall mural, make it a must go.

Tomatoes sauce tastes great and the dough is always well made. Prices are affordable. You can get the whole pizza or by slices. I've been coming here for years and never gave them a review.

This is one of the best pizza stops in Houston. If you like New York style pizza, this is the place to come. They sell it by the slice. Great service and atmosphere. The pizza crust is scrumptious any toppings would taste awesome with this crust. The cheesesteak with fries was also very good.

We visited Frank's Pizza last weekend on our visit to Houston from San Antonio. The Pizza and our salad was so delicious!

The price is also very reasonable. We actually ordered a whole pizza fresh from the oven As an aside, it is in a perfect location to take photos downtown. It was an awesome visit!

The place is nice and very small. Gets packed very easily during the night! Good food for the price, we ordered an xl cheese pizza and fifteen wings, and they all tasted as expected.

It was very delicious and good quality, as if it was from an NYC pizzeria. Definitely recommend giving this place a try if you want to have one of the best pizza Downtown Houston has to offer. Great place to stop by and grab a bite to eat with friends. Pepperoni pizza is my favorite to order there.

It definitely hits the spot after a night out of dancing, biking, or after a show in downtown. If in a big group, the XL pizza is probably the best bang for your buck. Houston pizza staple serving delicious New York thin-crust style pizza The service is top-notch.

Houston classic. If you want the best NY style slices in Houston this is the place. Ask when the new pizzas come out if they're not already flying and get a supreme slice. Eating there to enjoy the Movie posters of movies filmed in Houston.

Nice touch. Great service great pizza. What more could you ask for? For exactly what I wanted and had a great experience. We sat right next to the guy taking out the pizzas from the oven. I enjoyed that! Coming back for sure.

Delicious pizza the wings were cooked fresh. Long line but it moved super quick! Talked to some nice people in line. Yo Frankie, can I get some slice?? Yes you can, open until 3am on weekends, this new york style pizza is just what you're wanting after a baseball game, concert, or a few drinks with friends.

The classic cheese slice is the top winner, but the pepperoni and the Supreme are close 2nds. Have a beer or a soda and enjoy the downtown spot. We loved it. Not a bid fan of pizza in general - but this place convinced me. Especially margarita and special meat pizza slices.

Good prices and very tasty! Definitely one of the great melting pots of H-Town - super interesting to watch people! Track your travel spending and split costs with friends Plan your trip. Try it on Wanderlog. Track your travel spending and split costs with friends. Mediterranean restaurant.
